Bid proposals accepted for the Indian River Inlet Bridge project

Bid proposals were accepted and opened by the Delaware Department of Transportation for the Indian River Inlet Bridge project. This much anticipated bid opening determined the contractor that will build the new Indian River Inlet Bridge which Kuhn is currently constructing the approaches for. The apparent low bidder on the design/build contract to construct the new cable stayed span was PCL/Buckland & Taylor. Their price for the project is $124,000,000.00, just $100,000.00 dollars under the second proposal. When completed, this bridge will connect the north and south approach ramps which Kuhn has been constructing for approximately 18 months.
